OpenStudy (destinykiara99):

Select one of the factors of 3x2 + 4x − 4. (x + 4) (3x + 2) (3x − 2) (x − 2)

OpenStudy (photon336):

do you know how to factor? FOIL. First outer inner last. we look at our problem. we have -4 so we must have the following. you have to just really practice this. you always look at your last number and determine what numbers multiply up to get that number and what the sign is. (3x-2)(x+2) 3x*x + 3x*2 -2*x-4 this gives us 3x^2+6x-2x-4 6x-2x = 4x 3x^2+4x-4 so you can see from this that it's most likely going to be (3x-2)
