PLEASE HELP IM CONFUSED by common practice, scientists place scavengers at the same trophic level as which organisms? A- producers B- primary consumers C-secondary consumers D- decomposer
the problem is i thought the answer was secondary consumers but i was told that was wrong so im confused
@Brrandyn i thought it would be producers as well
In actuality, the most appropriate classification for scavengers is tertiary, however, scavengers cannot be producers because they eat plants, who ARE producers, along with the herbivores that do.
No, no, no, no, and no. I'm awful and apologize. Disregard my initial answer. It's "D - Decomposer". It's been far too long since I've studied Biology (evidently). Scavengers can also be classified as decomposers because they're responsible for breaking down (dead) matter into organic/chemical components.
