Algebra help please.. I've been stuck forever on this!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alan has a tutoring business. For each hour he tutors, he earns $50. In addition to a $75 newspaper ad, his expenses per session include $5 in materials and $2 in transportation. How many hours must Alan tutor before he makes a profit? Give the inequality and solve.

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

Suppose he tutors for x hours so if he's asking for $50 per hour, he'll make 50*x per hour, and that should be greater than (in order to profit) his expenses, which are ($5+$2)*x per each session + $75 (one time fee for newspaper), so the inequality would be: 50x > 7x +75

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

Now solve the inequality to figure out how many hours he needs to tutor before making profit.
