Can you explain the process of Mitosis and Meiosis? Please Help!

Mitosis is the process in which somatic cells divide into two identical daughter cells used to produce body cells that are used for both growth and repair of aging or damaged tissues. Interphase although not part of the cell cycle it proceeds mitosis. Mitosis has a "Cell Cycle" which has 4 phases: Prophase, Metaphase, Anaphase, Telophase. Followed by Cytokineses in which the cell divedes.

Meiosis involves reproductive cells such as the egg of the female and the sperm of the male. It is the process that essentially involve two cycles of division, involving a gamete mother cell (daploid cell) dividing and then again to form 4 haploid cells
