OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which of the following statements holds true for a chemical change? In a chemical change, no new substance is formed. In a chemical change, a substance changes its phase. In a chemical change, the molecular structure of a substance changes. In a chemical change, one substance dissolves into another.

OpenStudy (hhmorris98):

Which one do you think it is?

OpenStudy (cathyangs):

The 3rd choice, by logic and process of elimination, is the only true one. The other 3 choices all describe physical changes.

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

A chemical change involves making or breaking chemical bonds; doing so necessarily changes the molecular structure.

OpenStudy (sasquat):

It's definitely the third one since it talks about change at a MOLECULAR level, therefore it would be a chemical change.
