5x – 7y = 10

When you are asked to solve for something, it wants you to end up with something like 
y=  blah blah 
Your job is to rearrange the equation so y is alone on one side, with the 'blah blah' everything else on the other side.
What can you do to both sides of the equation to get the part with y alone on one side? Remember that when you do something to one side, you need to do it to the other side for the two sides to stay equal.
