OpenStudy (shiburinga):

For now, all I kow is the basics. what do you know so far?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

absolutly nothing XD

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

Lol! It's okay. LaTexis pretty much simple coding. It helps with Algebra, explaining things, and just tot have fun!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but i do know computer programming like java and http stuff so i should be able to understand

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

And nice Levi pic.. :p

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks :P

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

To start off, for LaTex it's starts with \( and ends with \)

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

wait lol it coded it

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

\(

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

is what it starts off with.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

/( that?

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

ie. and ends with

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

\)

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

here is an example.

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

\ (\bf\color{red}{hello}\ )

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

i put spaces so it doesn't work, so you can see.

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

this is what it amkes.

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

\(\bf\color{red}{hello}\)

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

You try

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

Are you confused?

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

@thomaster

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

Oh, sorry didn't see your question p there.

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

You know where p is on your computer keyboard?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok im back

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

Its ok :)

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

So you know where P is on your keyboard, right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\ talkin bout the back slash?

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

ok, three buttons to the right, there is a button with 2 symbols. \ and |. The first one is the one you use. :P

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

Yep :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok yeah ik that

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

Ok, so wanna try and say something in LaTex? :p

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its startes with \( and ends with \)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oops

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

Yep! You just done the most simplest for of LaTex ^.^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i didnt even try to :p

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

Ikr? :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok but that was cool i wanna learn more now

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

OKay, now.. say hello :3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(hello\)

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

:D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yay

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

but you forgot color, font.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i wasnt here wen u explained that but i think i know how to do it

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

Do it like this, except without the spaces. \ (\bf\color{red}{hello}\ )

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(\bf\color{lime}{hello}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yay i did it

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

http://htmlcolorcodes.com/

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

BF, is the normal font, will teach you other fonts when we finish these. And for color, pretty much any color imaginable. If you don't want to pick simple colors, go to this website and pick other ones, and will show you how to put them in.

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

:O YOU DID IT! :D

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

Oh when typing sentences reglar space bar doesn't put spaces use ~ for the space.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(\bf\color{red}{hello~im~doing~it}\)

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

:D

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

You are doing awesome!

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

Wanna know something funny?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

I just learned this yesterday :p

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:O

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

I know how to do bbox ^.^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

Its boxes.. here let me show you.:P

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

\(\bbox[50pt,aqua,border:60px solid]{\bf\Wazzup? :D}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

Lol! Its for later on, bud! :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

frak makes \(\frak\color{red}{I'm~George~Washington!}\)

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

Kind of old stylish looking :p

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

just instead of typing bf, type frak.

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

Brendon is here to help! :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(\frak\color{#23FF00}{thanks~for~showing~me~this}\)

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

Np, lol :p

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is so cool

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

Haha, it is! We still have alot to learn. You can make rainbows and clouds and stuff. Not sure how to do that yet though.

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

Here are stars and hearts :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:D

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

\(\large\color{red}{/heartsuit} \

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

is the heart without space though.

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

and you can pick any color too.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(\large\color{red}{\heartsuit}\)

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

I was gonna say give it a try but nevermind lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

Good job :D

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

and for the star, just trype \star where \heartsuit was.

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

\(\large\color{red}{\star}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(\Large\mathbb{\color{Magenta}{HEY~GUYS}}\)

OpenStudy (shiburinga):

:O

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (shiburinga):
