Question

Hi, is there anyway to reduce the lag on here, I've been here for years and the lag has still been the same.
This is the only site where I have this lag, and was hoping there could be a solution.

Os has always had lag and it's not your fault, it's on OS's end and there's not much we can do.

I know it's OS, but there must be a way to at least reduce it. I can barely accesses some of the questions as I lose connection because of anonymous users/ or it doesn't load. Is there anyway to get around this, it can be very frustrating.

indeed, but 2 years ago, OpenStudy would belly flop when there would be more than 150 users online.
some time this year, I had seen openstudy load with 500 users online without crashing
improvements are happening... maybe slower than we would like... but happening

Sure, but that's still not a valid reason to having to deal with this `everyday`.
Anyways I would hope there could be some solutions to this rather than going back on forth about time on development. Maybe we need to mention this more often as well so it will be done quicker.

Look at the bottom left corner of your page while it loads, you will see latex, mathjax, and ADVERTISEMENTS taking their time.

I think the biggest problem is the layout. I think that it's filled with unnecessary trash and then glossed over because it's easier to cover up. Well that's what I think. It's easier to cover up than fix, right?

today i had to type a solution 3TIMES!! because it kept crashing and when i used the equation tool i shifted it a lil bit to see my work but then i was not able to release it and the equation tool kept dragging all over where ever i moved my cursor ;-; i had to reload to solve this and all my work was gone.

I don't get much lag, haven't gotten it frequently since I discontinued online school (only a couple of times when logging in has there been lag). I stay on for at least about an hour or so then I go off, whereas I used to spend at least 4 hours per day months ago. Is the lag merely because of users spending hours on one sitting on the site that there's an issue?

I get lag a lot, and when it happens while I'm in the middle of a reply, I normally copy what I have written and paste it when it reloads, it's really the only way not to lose what you wrote when you have to reload.
