A basic position in American foreign policy has been that America must defend its foreign interests related to trade and security. The main foreign policy position opposed to this American policy is called A. isolationism. B. federalism. C. militarism. D. imperialism.
@jabez177
If this refers to America pre-WWI its isolationism, if its in between WWI and WWII its federalism, if its modern post WWII its militarism. :)
Did that help?
no not really i don't understand
America didn't get involved in both World Wars until they were attacked. They were isolationists. WWI it was a ship with Americans on it being sunk by a U-Boat, WWII it was Pearl Harbor. Make sense?
so would it be B?
What era of history are you in right now? That determines the answer. They are all correct to certain eras of America.
idk im home schooled and it says im in political progress
Online home schooled? Can you ask your teacher?
yeah online. no i cant. cuz they cant help you with exam questions
You should be able to ask them and say "Hey this question doesn't give a set time period, and all are correct" ya-da-da-da
ive tried and they don't help me
Well, I would go with militarism, and if its wrong send them an email explaining that you chose it based on the current events of the what the US is doing.
oh ok thanks
