this is one of things about OS that i find most annoying; and actually quite creepy

we had all that spam, and discovered that that big green guy is a hacker [whatever that means, i took it as low level sneak].

yet, the same avatar is now advising me as to what i should load onto my own laptop.

You can remove the old extension from: chrome://extensions/

and press the little trashcan button at the end of it :P

Well actually maybe if the extension has a maximum chrome version limit back in that old chrome version it prevents you from upgrading, but that one i cant tell ya /shrug
