1. How many minutes does Chang study per calorie burned? 2. What is the slope of the graph?

OpenStudy (unofficialllyy):

I have multiple questions like this but I don't understand how to do them.

@jim_thompson5910

OpenStudy (unofficialllyy):

How did you figure out that he burns 10 calories for every minute of studying?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry, that was wrong, i think..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh wait, it was right.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To find the slope, find 2 points on the graph, (for me it was (100,10) and (400,40)

OpenStudy (unofficialllyy):

Right then do the slope formula, I get that. But I don't get the first part.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Chang burns 10 calories per minute that he studies...Some intense studying!

OpenStudy (unofficialllyy):

And it's asking how many minutes he studied per calorie burned, not how many calories her burned per minute studied..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I found that, because the point (100,10) shows that after ten minutes of studying, he burnt 100 calories, so I divided 100 by 10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you reverse it, then its just Chang burns a calorie every 1/10 of a minute.

OpenStudy (unofficialllyy):

Okay, thank you.

No problem!
