for visualization, drag the 1 by 2 triangle from one end to the other to make it a 4 by 2 square.

idk, but that function the curve seems to be a parabola x^2 without any streching factor.... So that function is, as seems to be, (x-6)^2-1 --> over the interval [5,7]
