OpenStudy (pyxieyt):

Okay what is 25.8 divided 5.4?

Your discussion looks OK so far. Suggest that you both think about labels and units of measurement. 5.4 divided by 9 means what? This makes more sense if you include units: 5.4 hours to make 9 parts. From this info we can obtain the rate at which the parts are made. That would have units of measurement "parts made per hour," or parts/hr. 5.4 hours / 9 parts makes less sense; the result of that would have units of measure "hours." Once you have the rate at which these parts are made, multiply that rate by 25.8 hours. @mathmanbra?
