kk and Everyone he dated, in the longer past, and current, screwed him over. He currently has a girlfriend who's in jail for doing speed. She's always asking bout money, so he thinks it's not going to end good. He said when he catches her doing something wrong, he's dumping her, and anyone who gets in his way he's gonna screw over. (Do the stuff, you know, then leave them) because thats pretty much what everry girl does to him. I said but what if they don't do it to you? He said oh well. He said the best way not to get hurt is act like you don't have a heart. I said but you will still be getting hurt, and its not going to make you any better. He also said actions or more powerful than words. I disagreed. He said words are meaningless. If thats so (this happened a couple says ago) I talked to a girl whos cuts, and I asked her not to cut anymore. From what I know, she isn't. So what does that prove..?

It makes me question my self and others. Even my best friends. Should I act like I don't have a heart? Are they just saying this stuff to make me feel good? Kinda like my cousin me and him don't like each other too much, he and my brother are best friends, but he says he only invites me to his house to pity me. So I stopped going over there. Now my brother missed thanksgiving because he went with my cousin on a hunting trip for three days.

But what my point is.. should I? And should I trust others? What he said affected me. Hes like one of the closest people around. I asked him if he would screw me over, he said no because I'm family. But he said if his family tries to use him or anything, he will. And I asked him what he thinks about his brothers marriage, he said he's with his brother cause he's blood. I said so? Bloods not always thicker than water. My dad is a rapist and raped me and my sister and I'm not on his side at all. Just because someone's blood doesn't mean you take their side.

Wow. I'm sorry to hear all of this.
However, if I may, share my opinion...

I have been betrayed by many, hurt, bullied, raped, etc. Yet I still don't believe that becoming cold or heartless is a solution. It's just an excuse due to the fear of ever trusting again. Not all people are bad, and not all people will hurt or betray you. There are good people out there, people like you and I, people who have been through terrible things yet haven't let those things negatively impact them. I try to be as open and as kind as I can be, even though my trust has been betrayed countless times. I have found good friends who have not betrayed my trust, whom I have become close to due to my unending trust and determination to not have hatred for anyone or become cold and "heartless."

Becoming cold and "heartless" will only cause a person more pain. It will cause a person to become lonely, depressed, and overall, unhappy.
Hatred is not a good quality, rather, it's something that causes others to become depressed and unhappy.


Hating someone for what they did is absolutely pointless. They are not worth such emotion.

Consider this:
Meeting someone is either a blessing or a lesson learnt.
Trust should not be completely lost just because of something one person did to you- or even if it were several who have done you wrong. Have hope that you will find good people, as impossible as that sounds, there really are good people in the world yet. You just have to find them. (:

I think it makes you stronger. If you have a heart, people can bring you down, but being heartless, (sorry about the following, just mad '-') you don't give a pellet. You screw people over, then you aren't the one hurting;they are.

Well, I can understand your frustration and pain.
Trust me, though. Hurting others does not make the pain go away. Actually, it's making other people happy that makes the pain go away. You don't have to trust people completely, just a little bit, maybe. I mean, I don't FULLY trust anyone, but I do partially trust people enough to form friendships.

By being heartless, you will only end up becoming drowned in guilt and depression. You'll become lonely. You won't enjoy life.
Trust me, I've tried.

There is only very few people I want to trust fully. Other than that, be heartless. Being nice... sucks. I tried to help someone on OS the other day and they called me an idiot. I acted nice, but I was I so mad I wanted to go pound their face in. Then I tried to help them on another question, and they said they found someone smarter than me. Thats when I almost boiled down to nothing and just let everything go on them. But Mods were there. So I didn't do anything. I will give you the site if you want me to. :l

You don't have to be completely heartless, though.
Think about the mental/emotional state of those who were rude/unkind to you. Perhaps they have also gone through some stuff and are being heartless to you in order to make themselves feel better.
It's good to be kind, no matter what people say/do to you. Maybe your kindness will make them think... and change themselves for the better.
