I have an explanation. :D
There is an easier way than the one you mentioned above. Believe it, or not, simply plug in answer choices for t. You would use these values for the 3rd column and add them. For example, let's look at A:
t=15 min
We get 15/30 and 15/45. They are 1/2 and 1/3, respectively. They DONT add up to 1 whole.
B, however has 18/30 (0.6) and 18/45 (0.4), which DO add up to 1 whole. Therefore, B is the right answer. :D
