did you plug in y=0 and see if x is an integer when you solve for x?
did you plug in y=1 and see if x is an integer when you solve for x?
....
this is one way to go about the problem.
OpenStudy (pawanyadav):
Then youyou have to plug y=2 and look if x comes to be an integer.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
is that the only way to solve this type of problem?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
because this is from an ACT test prep and i'm trying to find the fastest solution :)

my answer's C
OpenStudy (pawanyadav):
Correct
OpenStudy (pawanyadav):
For fast answer you have to check faster
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so does that mean that the trial and error method is the fastest?
