How would you respond to a person who argued that the Big Bang Theory is incorrect because it is only a theory and theories have no scientific evidence backing them up? -Make a joke about the tv show "Big Bang Theory" and i will smite you

OpenStudy (chantysquirrel1129**):

Lol what xD

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

I would consider him as a person which has no logic.

All scientific evidence leads to theories. Science is not in the business of finding truth. Science is in the business of observing natural (whatever that means) phenomena and doing its best to explain it or model it. Theories that persist tend to be better than those that don't. All theories must be sufficiently flexible to incorporate new information or they will require substantial revision. It is a funny thing, a theory. It requires thought and consistency. Not much around us submits itself to that level of scrutiny.
