Biomes are places on the Earth that have similar climates leading to similar plants and animals. There are terrestrial (land) and aquatic (freshwater and marine) biomes. Has your teacher assigned you a biome to research? If you get to choose then, pick your biome! Once you have picked one like the taiga or tropical rain forest you can begin looking up the organisms (living things) that inhabit that biome. Producers will typically be the plant life, primary consumers will be the organisms that eat the producers, secondary consumers will eat the primary consumers, and tertiary consumers will eat the secondary consumers. It seems as though your teacher wants you to create a food chain or food web by drawing an arrow from one to the other. Energy starts from the sun and flows into the producer. Then, energy flows from one consumer to the next when they eat each other. (Example: rat -->snake energy flows from the rat to the snake when the snake eats the rat, so the arrow points from the rat to the snake). Hope this has helped a little. Good luck!
