MsBrains (ms-brains):

SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP! I AM WILLING TO PAY OWL BUCKS!! AND I CAN MEDAL AND FAN!

MsBrains (ms-brains):

I have been stuck on this forever. :(

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

so if the width is w then the length = w + 8 hope that helps

MsBrains (ms-brains):

Yeah, I know. L=w+8 That is the first part! What about B C And D>?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

so substitute it into the inequality you have been given 2w + 2l > 60 replace l with w + 8

MsBrains (ms-brains):

So for part B it is 2w+2l>60 ?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well you are given that information in the question you need to replace L with your answer from (a) which was w + 8

MsBrains (ms-brains):

2w+2w + 8 >60 like that?

MsBrains (ms-brains):

@campbell_st

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

close... 2w + 2(w + 8) > 60

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

you need to multiply both w and 8 by 2 before collecting like terms.

MsBrains (ms-brains):

w > 11 Is the inequality solved, But how do I put that in Part C? @campbell_st

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

so if you simplified part B you get an inequality 4w + 16 > 60 just show the steps... subtract 16 from nboth sides then divide both sides by 4

MsBrains (ms-brains):

4w > 60 - 16 4w > 44 w > 44/4 w > 11 Like this? @campbell_st

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

great that is you calculation.... now write a sentence about your answer... and remember to include the units of measurement.

MsBrains (ms-brains):

The length of the photo graph is 19, and it's width is 11.. like that ^ ? @campbell_st

MsBrains (ms-brains):

@campbell_st Are you there?

MsBrains (ms-brains):

The length of the photograph is 19mm, and the width is 11. I don't know if I have to write about the perimeter being more than 60mm...

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well the width has to be w > 11 so length is > 19

MsBrains (ms-brains):

Oh, xD Okay. The length of the photograph is 11mm, and the width is 19. <--- like that?

MsBrains (ms-brains):

@campbell_st
