http://prntscr.com/98frj0 What statement best describes the artist's viewpoint in this cartoon? Most Americans would support Roosevelt no matter what. Roosevelt's plans to expand the Supreme Court were not well thought out. The government did not have money to spend on new buildings. Congress would cease to pass Roosevelt's initiatives mostly because of the court-packing plan.
@YoungStudier
What do you think @leahhhmorgannn ?
I really don't know.
Best guess?
If I had any guess, I wouldn't be asking on here, I'll just say that.
Uhm ok: " Cartoon shows President Roosevelt showing Secretary of the Interior, Harold Ickes a drawing for a "New Deal Plan for Enlarged Supreme Court" featuring the existing court building flanked by two enormous wings. Ickes headed the Public Works Administration which mounted a huge public building program during the Depression. The cartoonist pokes fun at Roosevelt's proposal to add new justices to the Supreme Court which was blocking the president's New Deal programs." ~ http://www.loc.gov/pictures/item/acd1996000323/PP/
So, if the cartoonist is poking fun at his plan to add new justices, it'd be B?
I believe so, yes. ^_^
These questions are tricky for me, thanks
No problem. ^_^ Glad I could help.
