how many tuning points will a degree six polynominal function with six real zeros have

Well, if it has six real zeroes or "roots" it means it cuts the x-axis six times, so, how many times does the function have to change the direction in order to cross the x-axis, six times? For example, a third degree function with three roots, has to have two turning points.
