please help!! Explain why "proof" or "prove" will never be a valid reason in a proof.

The goal of a proof is to prove the "prove" statement. All the steps that are used in a proof are meant to prove the "prove" statement. You can't use the thing you are proving to prove it. You must use definitions, postulates and theorems that have already been proved as steps in the proof.
