What is -4 2/3 expressed as an improper fraction?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-14/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is because when you multiply 4 by 3 then add the two you get 14 (add negative sign afterwards) as the numerator and keep 3 as the denominator

Thanks!

The way you do this problem is by doing -4 x 3 and then the solution to that + 2 and you've got your answer! the denominator stays the same.
