please help WILL FAN & MEDAL Complete the equation of the graphed linear function. Write the slope in decimal form. y = ____ x + _____

OpenStudy (imamermaid29):

@YoloShroom

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont understand that type of math im sorry but i cant help

OpenStudy (imamermaid29):

its okay :)

OpenStudy (yoloshroom):

so y = (variable)x+(another variable)?

OpenStudy (imamermaid29):

yes im pretty sure

OpenStudy (yoloshroom):

so we know rise/run so y=-3/4(x)+(Variable.) right?

OpenStudy (imamermaid29):

yes

OpenStudy (yoloshroom):

Hmm, sorry , it's been ahile for graphs lol

OpenStudy (imamermaid29):

you're fine

OpenStudy (yoloshroom):

by the way, rise/run isnt the only way to find slope. you can also use y2-y1/x2-x1.

OpenStudy (imamermaid29):

yes i know that, i was just having trouble with this question.

OpenStudy (yoloshroom):

i believe the y int is -4.. lol because the point of intersection occurs where x=0 and y = a number, so y int should be y=-4 but ima double check.

OpenStudy (yoloshroom):

do you get multiple tries for this problem?

OpenStudy (imamermaid29):

no

OpenStudy (yoloshroom):

k then, lets be 100% sure about this lol. @Nnesha Halp, i think i screwed up lol

OpenStudy (yoloshroom):

it is y=-3/4x-4, im almost 100% sure, like 99%. http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=y%3D-3%2F4x-4

OpenStudy (imamermaid29):

okay lol
