Identify items in everyday life that are made of each type of element: metal, nonmetal, and metalloid. For each item, explain why the properties of that type of element are necessary for the function of that item.

-for nonmetals: a cooking utensil made out of wood, its properties of not conducting electricity, and not conducting heat protects the user from getting burned.
- for metals, a cooking pan will be able to cook meals by conducting heat properly, also since they have high melting points they will not melt while cooking.
-for a metalloid: an LED light made of (Germanium). Germanium is an important semiconductor, mainly used in transistors and integrated circuits.
