A 1 kg ball is 10 m above the surface of the earth. The mass of the earth is 6*10^24 kg. The initial velocity of the ball and the earth are both zero. The ball is dropped and once the ball and earth collide they stay together. How fast is the ball moving before it collides with the earth?
