They have given you 2 points is the line (1/2,2) and (-3,-1). To verify which equation is correct plug in the two points and see which one checks. Remember that the two points must verify the equation. Example: A. –6x +7y =–11 Point1 (1/2,2): -6*1/2 + 7*2 = -3 + 14 = -11 so the equation is verified for point1. Point2 (-3,-1): -6*(-3) + 7*(-1) = -18 - 7 = -26 <> -11 so the equation is not verified for point2. Hence option A is not correct.
