Hey anyone taking Biology in flvs ? need help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep. 10th?

OpenStudy (safyousuff97):

no 9th

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I can try to help.

OpenStudy (safyousuff97):

ok, do you remember taking DNA replication 3.05

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah. It's covered again in 10th.

OpenStudy (safyousuff97):

oh ok, For this assignment, you will write an essay describing the production of protein molecules through transcription and translation. Your essay should include discussions of the following: DNA mRNA RNA polymerase base pairing transcription translation tRNA rRNA ribosomes amino acids protein Be sure to refer to the assignment’s rubric before submitting your essay to your instructor.

OpenStudy (safyousuff97):

that is the assignment ^

OpenStudy (safyousuff97):

i don't know what to do tho

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How interesting. I did this assignment already. You are in 9th grade?

OpenStudy (safyousuff97):

yeah for sure

OpenStudy (safyousuff97):

do u remember what u did ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes. I'm looking for the document on my computer. I'm going to help you, but I'm also doing an exam for Biology right now and other things. Gimme one sec. We can do this!

OpenStudy (safyousuff97):

oh ok thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Who is your teacher?

OpenStudy (safyousuff97):

mrs.ball

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no kidding?

OpenStudy (safyousuff97):

nope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Terrific name.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, I found the paper and it's 03.05 DNA Replication

OpenStudy (safyousuff97):

yep

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know what protein synthesis is?

OpenStudy (safyousuff97):

biological processes by which individual cells build their specific proteins

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes. For your paper, I would start by explaining what protein synthesis is and proceeding to discuss the two stages that are involved. Transcription and Translation.

OpenStudy (safyousuff97):

oh ok thats all i need to write

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Start with a statement, like, Protein synthesis is the synthesis of polypeptide chains which then produce the specific proteins based on the genetic code in DNA. It occurs in two stages, transcription and translation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First paragraph: Transcription: Transcription occurs in the nucleus. The process of transcription uses an enzyme called RNA polymerase, similar in form and function to DNA polymerase. Transcription makes the mRNA copies from DNA in the nucleus of a eukaryotic cell. First.....

OpenStudy (safyousuff97):

then i start talking about transcription and translation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Second Paragraph: Translation: The process of translation uses genetic code on the mRNA strand to direct the construction of a protein molecule. First.....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you'll talk about tRNA in this paragraph. and mRNA in both paragraphs.

OpenStudy (safyousuff97):

can u pls start of the sentences i will finish it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Let's start with the process of transcription.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Transcription makes the ___ copies from DNA in the nucleus of a eukaryotic cell. First, the DNA ___ like it does during DNA replication, where the DNA molecule “unzips” into ___ strands and then follows the rules of ___ to build two new complementary strands (A to T, C to G).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

After the DNA comes back into its original double helix shape, what happens?

OpenStudy (safyousuff97):

i'm not sure, i'm going to be honest with u i'm behind in class and i just wanted to know what to do for the assignment don't worry i wasn't making u give me the answer i just skimmed through the lesson so i don't rly know much its my fault just leave it

OpenStudy (safyousuff97):

i will try answering the question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alrighty then. But, the directions are pretty clear in the directions. Don't worry about it. I meant to say, Once the mRNA is finished transcribing or copying... what happens?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

... it breaks away from the DNA strand. The DNA then comes back together into its double helix shape. Proceed to talk about mRNA and codons to go ahead and get those out of the way. Then for your next paragraph talk about the steps of Translation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you have any more questions?

OpenStudy (safyousuff97):

nope thanxs for helping me :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problem. Cheers!

OpenStudy (safyousuff97):

:)
