jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Are you able to identify the slope of this linear equation?

OpenStudy (kristenskate):

i think the answer(s) is b,c, and f

OpenStudy (kristenskate):

oh um no... sorry... :(

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

it's the number right before the x

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

example: y = 10x + 50 has a slope of 10

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

so what is the slope of this given equation?

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Kristen: Please do NOT ask for answers, and moreover, please do not attempt to bribe others to do your work for you by offering medals. The given function is a linear function; it has a slope and a y-intercept. It's critically important that you know how to identify both if given a function such as this one. If you would please show some of y our work, others could give you more meaningful feedback than if you provide nothing to discuss.

OpenStudy (mathmale):

A linear equation has the form y=mx + b, where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept coordinate. If y = mx + b copy the given function and write it immediately underneath. Then compare the two equations. Find m and find b. You may have to change the order in which you write the 2 terms of the given equation.
