I don't see the equation: sec x+-3 Should this be y = sec x - 3? I am not following the double sign with the + -

Directrix (directrix):

Maybe it is sec x = -3 that is to be solved.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea it is sorry

Directrix (directrix):

This is correct: Solve sec x = -3 over the interval -pi <= x < pi On the pi intervals, is it correct that one of them is less than or equal to and the other is just less than?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea i think

Directrix (directrix):

I assume that the answers are to be in radians. Do you have answer options?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no i dont

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

Directrix (directrix):

Is this supposed to be: sec x-3, -pi<=x<pi sec x = 3 rather than sec x = -3

Directrix (directrix):

You are welcome.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its x=-3,-pi<=x<x

Directrix (directrix):

Okay, so the answers should be correct.

thanks
