I'm helping my friend write a paper, this is the topic: Both Thomas Jefferson and Andrew Jackson claimed to represent the interests of the “common man” and laid claim to the adjective “democratic,” especially in contrast to their political opponents. Which one had the better claim to these titles? Support your position using specific historical evidence. Now at first he was saying that it was Jackson, but he changed his opinion to Jefferson (and im not sure at all why). I believe that he should have stuck with Jackson seeing as he was the man who started the Rise of the Common man era,
(cont.) and his main presidential goal was to cater to the common man...thoughts??? I think that she needs 3 reasons and I told him what i stated above but I haven't taken AP U.S History yet so there isn't much else i can do for him.

ah what's the question
why does Andrew Jackson have a better claim to those titles (in quotation marks)?? like what did he say and do to gain those titles? my friend has to write like 3 body paragraphs, each one discussion a different reason to back up why Jackson has those titles, and he has no clue what to write
did that make sense haha
could you just give me the main question please
is this the main question why does Andrew Jackson have a better claim to those titles
