-7/3*n= -43

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i cant figure it out can someone please guide me to the answer?

OpenStudy (lexi_loves):

Im doing it right now!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (lexi_loves):

ok so i think you are supposed to multiply -7/3 to both sides of the equation. Then you get the n=?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i thought i was supposed to add onto both sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because of the negative sign

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which would makethe left side only have a variable

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and after all that i got 313

OpenStudy (lexi_loves):

no cause the n is next to a fraction which is dividing and the oppisite operaation is multipliing so i think you would mulitipli! the to part of the equasion is a negitive but the bottom is positive!

OpenStudy (lexi_loves):

*fraction not equation lol sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the fraction i dividing???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*is*

OpenStudy (lexi_loves):

right so to get n by itself you would have to multipli

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok how do we do that XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-7/3 times itself wouldnt equal zero right?

OpenStudy (lexi_loves):

yes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it would?

OpenStudy (lexi_loves):

no im sorry it would equal 5.44 repating

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah i think its 313

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats the best answer i got

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ill submit if we can't think up a solid answer

OpenStudy (lexi_loves):

ok. Then good job!! :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and se what the answer was so you and i can go over it if i failed

OpenStudy (lexi_loves):

sounds great!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the asnwer was 18....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got everythig else right so i passed the test

OpenStudy (lexi_loves):

how? was it 18? AWESOME JOB ON THE TEST!!!:D

OpenStudy (anonymous):
