A way to avoid being given wrong answers is to ask for them to provide an explanation
if they cannot explain it themselves then they may have guessed

Just because you are failing after receiving help does not mean that its anyone fault. This site is specifically for students and teachers to help other students. If a student is providing the answer for you instead of helping you, you should just tell them that you don't get it and ask them to explain it instead of giving you the answer. Also @Nnesha  has made a good point you cant fail on your homework. And you shouldn't be using Openstudy to pass on tests .
