OpenStudy (leahhhmorgannn):

Which of the following is correctly paired with its function? Sensory somatic nervous system—controls skeletal muscles Autonomic nervous system—creates voluntary response to stimuli Parasympathetic nervous system—controls body response to emergency Sympathetic nervous system—brings body to homeostasis I know that C and D are mixed up definitions. The sympathetic nervous system controls the response to emergency situations and the parasympathetic brings the body back to homeostasis. I'm also pretty sure the autonomic nervous system controls involuntary responses, not voluntary.

@aaronq

OpenStudy (aaronq):

hm all your reasoning is correct, the somatic nervous system does control voluntary muscles, is it possible they included "sensory" as a mistake? because B,C and D are not right

OpenStudy (leahhhmorgannn):

My lessons didn't really teach the somatic nervous system so I'm not sure... The only one close to that I remember is the sensory somatic, but I don't know much about it. It didn't stick in my mind like the rest did.

OpenStudy (aaronq):

hmm that's strange, you should look more into it, but at this point I would definitely go with A

OpenStudy (leahhhmorgannn):

Okay, thanks.
