solve using multiplication/division -5x=35 x=?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First of all, I love your profile picture! bmth for life man XD 35/-5 = -7 Then to check it, -5*-7 = 35. x= -7

OpenStudy (gorica):

I think it's more correct to write it as: -5x=35 | divide both sides by -5 \[-5x:(-5)=35:(-5)\] \[x=-7\]

OpenStudy (gabby1214):

Right xD and thank you!

^ what she said XD
