alones (alones):

I nedd somobody to check my equation is a general form :/

alones (alones):

The slope of a line is -1/5, and the y-intercept is 5. What is the equation of the line written in general form?

alones (alones):

and i got x - 5y - 5 = 0 :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

never heard of general form. Perhaps you mean standard form?

alones (alones):

eh i did actually in my math class but still i can't check if i'm right cuz i'm not sure

OpenStudy (zpupster):

\[Ax + By + C = 0 \ General \ Form\]

alones (alones):

yep that what i do right now

OpenStudy (zpupster):

\[Slope \ Intercept \ Form\ \ \ y=mx + b\] m= - 1/5 x=x b= y-intercept = 5 plugging them in y=-1/5x + 5 lets subtract y both sides -1/5x + 5 -y = y-y do the math and rearrange

alones (alones):

x - 5y - 25 = 0 this what i gor this time /

alones (alones):

o_O I got IT NOW!!! thx ,thx very much for explaining!!!>3
