Hi, Im not very sure about what a fairway and hang time are, i think hang time is the time of flight. The vertical component of vel will be 0 at max ht. Thus Uy^2 = 2*gH where uy is the vertical component of initial vel. Thus H = 20 m. Also the horizontal motion is uniform. Ux*t = R where R is max horizontal distance. Now, using Uy = gt as Vy = 0, t for reaching max ht time is found. Twice this time will be taken to fall on ground. Thus, 74*4 = R = 296. Please tell me what a fairway is! ;-)
@Justanotherguy Just a road probably. it doesnt even matter to the problem. We are just starting with parabolas in physics so no wind resistance or anything high level.
