Anyone found posting content from Quizzes, Tests, and/or Exams will simply be suspended. Posting such content is a violation of both your school's Honor Code and of OpenStudy's Anti-Cheating Policy. Helping another user on a Quiz, Test, and/or Exam is also equally punishable.
There are clues in most questions, such as What is 2*3? (5 points), or in screenshots, they'll typically say test or quiz somewhere

ou should have been reading rules before entering os
I remember finding a bunch of questions in English. This guy had basically gotten all the questions of an English grammar quiz answered. Then, in the comments below, over the months, people had come to OS and gotten Aʻs from cheating off of the answers he got by cheating. They were like "Thanks for the A, B," etc xD
if it is first time you will be warned
what if you dont know its from a test
I have seen many questions that have test answers, or posts that say: Test questions. Mods have done a pretty good job by clearing these types of questions/answers.
How can you post something not knowing it's from a test
what if its similar and someone reports it
and you did not know
@Whitemonsterbunny17 i will be your agent on caughting those who ar asking questions from quizes and test. LOL. i perfectly know what is a quiz and I can determine it by structure and by design. LOL I'm applying for a job lol

rockin' shades yo
i agree with zale you cant learn if you cheat
We do not need to know which virtual school you go to. The moderators who are teachers at these virtual schools can verify that, plus other information from your account like ip addresses that you've been on. The best thing to do is to avoid cheating at all costs. A mistake like this can ruin your education in your high school. Openstudy is here to help you study for your upcoming exams, not answers to your exams, review, quizzes, quickchecks, labs portfolios, and so forth~Zale101
But seriously ._. cheating has no awards .-. I used to use this site to cheat on my tests :/ and now Im in intensive math instead of criminology due to not passing the State required math test.... their going to catch you sooner or later ._. might as well learn now

I am drowning in the monies kids donʻt cheat, sell cookies and become a Donald Trump, but with good morals and less hair wigs
Let's say you got an A+ on your exam. Did you learn from it? When you major in science or any field, you need to know how some basic level science ( basic science=high school science). You need to be good with English and languages to write an essay in a proper way at least to help you with personal statements and resumes . In scientific fields, you want to understand science, at least the basic when you get to college. You do not want to start from zero. You want to look for good jobs. You're tool is your knowledge. Practice while you have the chance before you hit to college.
^ Exactly.

it is made by chibesatru
Let's get back to the topic at hand, aye?
It was made by me and TSO chibi used it :P Anyways that's irrelevant to the post.
Lol I have helped so many people with essays
so wait when we help someone how do we know if its a test or not
Not only tests and quizzes, even sharing essays, getting help on lab and portfolios. Your virtual teachers are there for a reason. Just dial their number and they will help you with everything. Don't hesitate. This is there job to teach you! You can help with essays like for grammar errors or with brainstorming, that's fine. But DO NOT share essays, that's plagiarizing.
You donʻt know, thatʻs why you have to use your head and look for clues
Can we get help on an essay? Like there are some times when I have to write an essay and I just can't get started with that first sentence. Is that okay?
I would like to know if I cheated in some way so I know in the future. I was asking for help on the central idea topic, I needed help with some definitions etc. I wrote the sentences, and all the person gave me was a good def of what text's central idea meant. Would that be cheating to be asking for a def of what they meant in the sentences? Or did I not cheat?
Brainstorming is fine, Jess.
Okay, thanks zale
Nice reminder! :)
I thought this was a helping site for school though?? Are we only suppose to do homework?
Just something interesting: already you can observe that the person who came up with the idea to bring it up as a discussion did not get the most credit. The ones who talked most got the most "credit" in a sense, even though everyone on this thread is simply repeating the same statements, and most statements have equal value.
can someone please help me with my exam?
yes i can, do not delete this reply until some mod comes here :) lol satt
No, go to PA for that
@satellite73 Here are all the answers have fun! :D http://pages.citebite.com/a4o3b6r4a2tjy
Carly, the point of OpenStudy is to study openly with your peers. Studying involves learning reading, and understanding the material. This post is for students, mainly virtual high school student who post exam and quizzes questions to get the right answer so they can score well on their classes. That's cheating and against the honor code of their school and the the purpose of this site. Cheating hinders studying the material and this site's purpose is to Study.
That's just not right. Why suspend?
Oh okay i see zale. thanks.
That doesn't make sense though, sharing an essay isn't plagarizing, although it certainly makes it easier
When studying, you can have a list of questions from your homework, your quizzes that you've done, or any worksheets that you feel you need to understand more so you can feel confident when taking the exam.
No one is able to fully prove intent. If someone shares content they've written, they're not plagarizing with that action. Unless they explicitly state that the purpose of them sharing their content is to provide students a way to plagarize, then they haven't done anything wrong.
and what if you're just taking a picture??????
This makes it so that the only people that you suspend for uploading essays/labs/etc are those that share them unknowing of the rules, or those having short term memory, or those with extremely low IQs.
I didn't say the person sharing the essay is plagiarizing. The plagiarizer in this case is the person accepting the essay and claim it their own.
Not only these virtual schools, any school don't want users posting essays not of their own.
Actually i did say that. Sorry about the mistake. "Sharing essays so other people can use your essay and make them their own is plagiarizing. Any sentence(s) copied and pasted without citing it appropriately is plagiarizing. "
I should've worded it better.
That's just boogas
Also remember that on the Openstudy commercial ads it showed a little owl needed help the big owl told him the answer then he went around and helped others and TOLD THEM THE ANSWER TOO!
What is bogus? Cheating?
@Athecool best answer ever. doesn't matter if its sarcasm or truth.
HUH!! Great thing

Two Moderators sitting on the tree k i s s i n g first comes power then comes bully!!
Din't mind this one sounds bad; definitely!
Just to let you guys know, seeing the direct answer is another part of studying. Like for example, you can be working on a problem but with several trials you keep on getting the answer wrong. The answer can verify that you are on the right track or knowing the mistake you made. The reason why we don't want direct answers giving out is because there's a possibility that the users wanting the answer is not for the purpose of studying and learning the material, but merely just to bubble in the answer and get a high score without even trying the problem.
No offense alright but My brother is dumb!
True @Zale101
Can you get 100 or more high smartscore ?
no spam.
Also, in regards to direct answers, it's good to keep this in mind: \(\rm\color{green}{~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Learning}\color{chocolate}{~is~alike~to~the~journey~of~an~}\color{green}{adventure.}\) \(\rm\color{chocolate}{~~~~An~adventure~with~the~}\color{green}{goal}\color{chocolate}{~of~attaining~a~greater~}\color{gold}{knowledge}\color{chocolate}{.}\) \(\rm\color{chocolate}{However,~it~is~}\color{darkred}{not~only}\color{chocolate}{~the~knowledge~alone~that~is~of~importance,}\) \(\rm\color{chocolate}{~~~~~For~it~is~often~times~our~}\color{green}{journey}\color{chocolate}{~that}\color{lime}{~inspires~}\color{chocolate}{our~}\color{gold}{knowledge.}\)
