Please help! 5x + 2(x + 6) 7x + 6 7x^2 +12 7x + 12 7x (x + 6)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

use BODMAS

OpenStudy (tanabugg):

What's BODMAS?

OpenStudy (andrewishere):

So distribute the left side of the equation: 2(x+6) So 2 times x = 2x 2 times 6 is 12 So the equation becomes, after being distributed, becomes 5x + 2x +12 Combine like terms So it becomes: 7x + 12

OpenStudy (andrewishere):

I hope this helps :)

OpenStudy (tanabugg):

Oh I got it now! Thanks so much!!!

OpenStudy (andrewishere):

Np :)

\[BODMAS~rule\]where\[B=bracket\]\[O=of\]\[D=divide\]\[M=multiply\]\[A=addition\]\[S=subtraction\]

OpenStudy (tanabugg):

Oh okay. Sorta like PEMDAS
