I can't see the chart because my school is blocking it. But you should be able to figure it out. Germany and Italy both had colonies in Africa at that time. If the chart shows those possessions in Africa, then you would be correct.
My guess, though, is that the chart shows. parts of those countries that are being united under a central government. If that is the case, your answer is Unification.
Separation and Independence have nothing to do with these two countries at that time.

I figured colonization because of the amount of colonies they had at the time though.

Next would be Unification. The colonization was their attempt to catch up with the rest of Europe who were already getting rich off of other countries labor. That's just a condition of the times.
