One question for a medal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (mrnood):

you are told that it is ONE QUARTER of a circle |dw:1449092659430:dw| What is the formula for the area of the WHOLE circle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A=1/4 pi radius squared

OpenStudy (mrnood):

well - that is the area of the QUARTER as required so radius = 5 just put that into your equation to get the answer (remember to round to nearest tenth like the question asks...)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how would i write that in a sentence

OpenStudy (mrnood):

It asks you to write the formula (which you already did) now use the formula to work out the area

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

OpenStudy (mrnood):

I suppose the first part could be " find the area of the whole circle that hass the same radius as the quadrant, using A= pi r ^2 , then divide it by 4"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i already wrote my answer thank you
