PLEASE Help! I have an eclipse mp3 player and I wanted to download a youtube video that i could watch on my mp3 so I converted the youtube video to avi format and then I downloaded it and then put that into my mp3 when I try to open it on my mp3 it says File open Failed! What can I do to fix this?

@fluteprincess352 it fails cuz' its an mp3 player n cant play avi :( use the web site below to download the sound from the youtube video as an mp3 file then u should be able to play it: http://www.youtube-mp3.org/ good luck! :)

so how can I download videos from youtube to watch on my mp3? and thanks for answering I really just wanna put like episodes from a show or something and watch it on my mp3 whenever

@fluteprincess352 oh so ur mp3 player has a screen n can play videos? then u need to find out which video format it supports...it gets complicated: avi is just a container...u need to find out confusing things such as codex, mp4, mov, h264 n other terms. good luck!

To clarify the tech jargon: mp3 is a name extension for some audio file types - mp4/avi are video file types. I know of a paid solution to extract a youtube video to your own computer- http://www.mediahuman.com/ Not sure about free ones, though be cautious of viruses. Some of my friends have downloaded youtube videos for free on their linux OS - probably doesn't help your situation, but I think there are some youtube tutorials on this.
