HI!!

OpenStudy (misty1212):

it is amazing that this polynomial factors, but it does! it is \[(2 x-3) (x-1) (x+12)\]

OpenStudy (yoloshroom):

i see, @misty1212 Is there an easy way to factor this?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

imgur seems to have crashed

OpenStudy (yoloshroom):

http://imgur.com/usBtco0 worked for me

Directrix (directrix):

2x^3 + 19x^2 -57x + 36 = 0 (2x - 3) (x - 1) ( x + 12) = 0 (factoring from above) By the Zero Product Property 2x - 3 = 0 or x - 1 = 0 or x + 12 = 0 Solve each of those for x. Then, add the 3 to get the sum of the roots. @YoloShroom

OpenStudy (yoloshroom):

thank you.
