laciers scour the surface of the ground they move over. As they move, they act as a conveyor belt, bring all sediment to the front of the glacier. This part of the glacier melts and deposits the sediment. Also as the whole glacier melts, it deposits all sediment where it melts meltwater from the front of a glacier will also create braided streams , which deposit sediment as the stream loses energy
