Describe how nucleotide and hydrogen bonds affect the structure of DNA

they hold the two helixes together and are strong enough to keep them bound together and keep DNA as a stable molecule. but yet they are weak enough to ensure that DNA is flexible(able to coil inside the nucleus) because if it could not be reduced in volume, it would be too big to fit in a cell.
