I'm pretty sure I know what 'a' is, but I'm lost on 'b', all you're supposed to do here is identify both of these variables, so... do you recall anything that had a '(ab)' sort of situation where there was a formula going over that?

OpenStudy (bieber896):

well I'm thinking its b

OpenStudy (ghostgate):

Yeah, my guess is that it's either 'A' or 'B', but 'B' does sound more solid than 'A', so... go for it. However, I'm probably wrong. Have a great day! ;) {---Ghostgate---}

OpenStudy (retireed):

Well it looks like you like you got the right answer, but I couldn't figure out why so I created an excel spreadsheet to solve the equation for a few x values. As you can see, when z is 0 the initial amount is 14. I was thinking it would be 28, which would have been wrong. Also note the growth value is 2, since it doubles for every value of x. x g(x) = 14*2^x g(x) = (14*2)^x 0 14 1 1 28 28 2 56 784 3 112 21952 4 224 614656 5 448 17210368 6 896 481890304 7 1792 13492928512
