OpenStudy (thadds2003):

Ok, no assesment. This Is HOMEWORK. :/

OpenStudy (thadds2003):

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

The screenshot gives away that it's an assessment.

OpenStudy (thadds2003):

computer checkpoint.

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

But if you were able to solve the last test question you posted, this one is no different.

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

move all like terms to one side

OpenStudy (thadds2003):

ITHIS IS NOT AN ASSESMENT, I SWEAR.

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

so x on one and regular numbers on the other

OpenStudy (thadds2003):

ok.........

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

and remember when either changes sides they will change signs so a negative would be positive

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

so 4x+3x=8+6

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

then add like terms what do u get ?

OpenStudy (thadds2003):

7 + 14, wich is 21. is that my answer?

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

no

OpenStudy (thadds2003):

21x?

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

4x+3x=8+6 okay see how two numbers have an x and two are just regular ?

OpenStudy (thadds2003):

yes

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

well the x numbers can be added to regular numbers

OpenStudy (thadds2003):

What? How?

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

so it will be _____=_____

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

add the x's together then the regular number

OpenStudy (thadds2003):

2x + 14= ???? then i will get my answer?

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

no look at the problem

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

4x+3x (add these) = 6+8 (then these) separately

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

what do u get

OpenStudy (thadds2003):

7x + 14 = 21x.

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

no .. you really need to pay attention in class

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

i said they CAN NOT be added together

OpenStudy (thadds2003):

its not that im not paying attention in class................... I DONT GET IT.

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

you can add them together look at it like this if you have 2 bananas and 3 apples that doesnt mean you have 5 apples or 5 bananas they are different and cant be added together

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

you cant add them together *

OpenStudy (thadds2003):

OK, I GET THAT you cant help me because "im not paying attention in class", so im going to close this question so that people dont have to deal with " the one not paying attention in class" and so that i dont have to waste my time.

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

lol now youre just being over dramatic ok but whatever u feel fits

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

your answer would be 7x=14 get x by its self so divide both by 7 so x=2

OpenStudy (thadds2003):

your not supposed to give answers directly.
