If the midpoint of a segment is (10, 14) and one endpoint is (11, 14), what are the coordinates of the other endpoint? (-14, -9) (14, 9) (-9, -14) (9, 14)

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

hint: try drawing it

OpenStudy (tilachihuahua):

Remember to look at the X and Y coordinate variations between the midpoint and the given endpoint

I did how did you get 9,14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i use the formula but i think i got it wrong

This question is easier than others, since your segment has a constant Y value. So you only need to look at the X value. I like to use this for these type problems: Endpoint X-Midpoint X = Value then take Value and subtract it from Midpoint X to get your answer

thank you
