I could really use help if they are wrong help me understand this. The first question I am thrown off because everything I have read is worded different so not getting it. Pretty frustrated really
@dream277 What are your "best guesses" and what options do you feel you can get rid of for each question?
I marked the ones I thought were right but the very first one I don't know for sure what to eliminate thank you
Oh, sorry I did not even notice the *s. I think you are good on all be the last two. I believe the one about forensic science is correct, but just for your information, how DNA is used depends on the quality and quantity that is obtained. Operons? C and D are what I think. I'll explain why and you can chose what you feel is the best. So, although not 100% true it is often taught as if bacteria lack introns. When you have a complex set of metabolic reactions, say breaking down the sugar arabinose, an operon use utilized by many bacteria. It takes several different proteins, and thus several genes to utilize arabinose. An operon is a the cellular equivalent of the assembly line in manufacturing. So the process begins at the beginning of the operon and makes all the things needed in one go. Now, beside the obvious organization, it will also cause a slight decrease in energy needed to create these proteins if the operon was broken apart. Most GMOs are plants that have been modified to not be killed by commercial pesticides or herbicides and so massive amounts of these are used.
omg Thank you so much your explanations were awesome too
