Identify the reactants and products in each chemical reaction. Hydrogen gas and sodium hydroxide are formed when sodium is dropped into water. In photosynthesis, carbon dioxide and water react to form oxygen gas and glucose.

OpenStudy (jebonna):

Reactants are what make products, for example: reactant + reactant -----> product + product So in a question, when it says that 'X' and 'Y' are FORMED, it means they were created as products from the reactants. Same goes for when it says 'X' and 'Y' have REACTED, that means they have reacted with one another, which makes them the reactants. Knowing this, you can work out the answer :) Does this help answer your question?
